If you're on this site, it's because you're pretty damn familiar with the crushing weight of relapse, and how it can set you back mentally.
It took me a very long time (and I'm still working on it) to realize that a relapse is not a life sentence. It's a speed bump.
You have to keep things in perspective in order to stay above water.
It sounds corny, but every day without porn is a win. So, if you go 1 day, or 2 days, or 40 days without it, you've won that many times. You've said no to yourself, that many times. You've conquered the toughest enemy known to man - selfish desire.
Think of it like this - let's say you start fresh today, and go 7 days without porn. On day 8 , you slip up. You've had 7 clear headed, successful days that you can stand behind and be proud of. It's fucking tough. You have to take the victories where you can.
